How to prepare, submit and publish your research in DAFS: guidelines, ethics, peer review, open access and charges.

Discoveries in Agriculture and Food Sciences (DAFS; ISSN 2756-2700) is an international, peer-reviewed, fully open-access journal published by Scholar Publishing, United Kingdom. DAFS publishes original research, critical reviews and short communications across the agricultural and food sciences. These guidelines explain how to prepare a strong submission and what happens after you submit; please read them alongside the journal’s Aims & Scope, the Ethics and Disclosures page and the Article Processing Charges information. Manuscripts that do not follow these guidelines may be returned before peer review. DAFS is a member of COPE and follows its Core Practices.

The author journey at a glance

1Check suitability — confirm your work fits the Aims & Scope and choose an article type.
2Prepare your manuscript — follow Preparing Your Manuscript, including references, figures and declarations.
3Meet the ethics requirements — read Ethics and Disclosures and prepare your declarations.
4Run the submission checklist and submit online.
5Peer review — single-blind assessment by at least two independent experts.
6Revise and respond to reviewer and editor comments.
7After acceptance — complete licensing and the Article Processing Charge, then check your proofs.
8Publication in full open access, with a DOI, and any post-publication matters.

A one-time Article Processing Charge applies only after acceptance; there are no submission fees.
