Publication schedule

DAFS publishes bi-monthly, with six issues per year, and articles are assigned to the appropriate volume and issue. Any change to the schedule will be announced on the journal website and reflected consistently across author information, policies, indexing records and library metadata.

Language

Articles are published in English. Either British or American spelling and usage may be used, provided it is applied consistently throughout the manuscript.

Open access, peer review and decisions

DAFS is fully open access; published articles may be read, downloaded and shared immediately. The journal operates single-blind peer review, with suitable manuscripts normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers. Editorial decisions rest on relevance to scope, originality, significance, methodological and technical rigour, clarity, ethical and safety compliance and the validity of the conclusions, and are never influenced by an author’s nationality, institution, seniority or ability to pay the Article Processing Charge. The Editor-in-Chief holds final authority, and the editorial team is listed under Editorial Team.

Persistent identifiers and charges

Published articles are assigned a digital object identifier (DOI), registered with Crossref under the prefix 10.14738, providing a persistent link to the version of record. Open access is supported by a one-time Article Processing Charge payable only after acceptance; the current amount and any waiver provisions are stated under For Authors.
