A short history of DAFS, from its founding in 2013 to the present.
Discoveries in Agriculture and Food Sciences was established in 2013 by Scholar Publishing, United Kingdom, to provide an open-access venue for original agricultural- and food-science research from around the world. Publishing under ISSN 2756-2700, the journal has issued content continuously since its foundation, appearing bi-monthly.
Throughout this period the journal has maintained a commitment to immediate open access, single-blind peer review and adherence to recognised publication-ethics standards as a member of COPE. Its published work spans crop and animal production, food science and technology, postharvest and agro-processing, natural-resource management, biosecurity, and agricultural economics, extension and rural development, drawing on research from a wide range of countries and farming systems.
A note on our name and identifiers
The journal has published throughout under the title Discoveries in Agriculture and Food Sciences and the abbreviation DAFS. Authors and libraries should use ISSN 2756-2700 and the article DOI (Crossref prefix 10.14738) when citing or cataloguing the journal’s content.
