Key facts at a glance
Detailed information
Publication schedule
ABR publishes one issue each month. Articles are published through the journal website and assigned to the appropriate volume and monthly issue.
Any change to the publication schedule is announced on the journal website and reflected consistently in author information, policies, indexing records, and library metadata.
Language
ABR publishes articles in English. British or American English may be used, provided that spelling and usage remain consistent throughout the manuscript.
Open-access model
ABR is a fully open-access journal. Published articles are available to read, download, and share immediately, without subscription or registration barriers.
The complete copyright, licensing, reuse, and self-archiving conditions are explained in the Open Access, Copyright and Licensing Policy.
Peer review
ABR operates a single-blind peer-review process. Reviewers are informed of the authors’ identities, while reviewers’ identities are not disclosed to the authors.
Manuscripts considered suitable after initial editorial assessment are normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers. The full procedure is explained in the Peer Review Policy.
Editorial decision-making
Editorial decisions are based on relevance to the journal’s scope, originality, academic significance, methodological rigour, clarity, ethical compliance, and the validity of the conclusions. Decisions are not influenced by an author’s nationality, institution, professional seniority, or ability to pay the Article Publishing Charge.
The Editor-in-Chief has final authority over editorial decisions. The members and affiliations of the journal’s editors are listed in Editorial Team.
Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs)
Published ABR articles are assigned Digital Object Identifiers where applicable. The DOI provides a persistent identifier for the article and should be used when citing or sharing the version of record.
Article Publishing Charge
ABR is supported by a one-time Article Publishing Charge payable only after acceptance. Payment is not required at initial submission and does not influence peer review or the editorial decision.
The current charge, payment arrangements, and any available waiver provisions are stated on the Article Publishing Charges page.
Publication ethics
ABR maintains policies addressing editorial independence, peer review, authorship, conflicts of interest, research ethics and consent, generative artificial intelligence, data sharing, corrections and retractions, complaints and appeals, and privacy. Readers and contributors should consult the Publication Ethics policy and the Policies menu for the complete requirements.
