- Abstract:
- The Industrial District (ID) is the social architect acting as a planner for the whole district, is the sponsor in charge of the legitimisation and sponsorship of local development and is in charge of translating collective strategies into actual plans and monitoring their achievement. The cluster transforms ID into a network of supporting and related industries in domains having a local competitive advantage. The open incubator improves the positive impact of ID and cluster on regional development by planning and managing a viral development based on Gladwell's law of the few in the relevant context with the main efficient stick. The open incubators cluster model selects and develops selected open incubators in the relevant supporting and related industries to accelerate the development of the cluster. Most of the clusters presented in the following chapters are most of them missing the Gladwell's law of the few and the progressive strategic planning and executing process proposed by the open incubators cluster model.
