- DESCRIPTION:
- Floods are disastrous to communities that are victims, in 2020, the flooding situation affected 67% of the departments in the Republic of Congo. The aim of the study was to examine the experiences of flood disaster victims, while assessing the efforts authorities have put in place, and based on that, propose an optimal line of action that can effectively curtail the disastrous impacts of floods. It was found that there were no facilities in place for flood victims to better their life, security and improve their income and this led to the proposal of the concept of the camp of resilience, to alleviate the current situation. The architecture innovation for this project is aimed at improving flooding community and a resilience camp as catalyst for economic and recreational development in the area.
