the website of scholarpublishing.org and all subdomains (hereinafter referred to as \u201cWebsite\u201d) or through related e-mail communication, and to all related services provided by Scholar Publishing UK, Brooklands Road, B28 8JP, Birmingham, United Kingdom (hereinafter referred to as \u201cScholar Publishing UK\u201d).<\/li>\r\n                <li>Any user of the website or buyer of services shall be referred to as \u201cCustomer\u201d throughout these Terms and Conditions.<\/li>\r\n                <li>Any business terms by the Customer which diverge from these Terms and Conditions shall not apply, unless expressly confirmed by Scholar Publishing UK in written form.<\/li>\r\n                <li>The Terms of Use of the Website (<a href=\"https:\/\/scholarpublishing.org\/sse\/termsofuse\/\" class=\"sp-tc-link\">Terms of Use<\/a>) constitute an integral part of the present Terms and Conditions.<\/li>\r\n            <\/ul>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n\r\n        <div class=\"sp-tc-card\">\r\n            <div class=\"sp-tc-card-header\">\r\n                <div class=\"sp-tc-icon\"><i class=\"fas fa-book-reader\"><\/i><\/div>\r\n                <h3>Offering of Scholar Publishing UK<\/h3>\r\n            <\/div>\r\n            <p>Scholar Publishing UK offers scientific publication and editorial services, which can be ordered by the Customer through the Website.<\/p>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n\r\n        <div class=\"sp-tc-card\">\r\n            <div class=\"sp-tc-card-header\">\r\n                <div class=\"sp-tc-icon\"><i class=\"fas fa-file-contract\"><\/i><\/div>\r\n                <h3>Contract Document<\/h3>\r\n            <\/div>\r\n            <p>Scholar Publishing UK makes no provision for a separate contract document based on these Terms and Conditions. However, the Customer may check at any time the ordered services and status of the Article through her\/his personal account on the Website.<\/p>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n\r\n        <div class=\"sp-tc-card sp-tc-full-width\">\r\n            <div class=\"sp-tc-card-header\">\r\n                <div class=\"sp-tc-icon\"><i class=\"fas fa-shopping-cart\"><\/i><\/div>\r\n                <h3>Ordering and Purchasing of Services<\/h3>\r\n            <\/div>\r\n            <ul class=\"sp-tc-list\">\r\n                <li>To order a publication service through the Website, the Customer must first register with the Website.<\/li>\r\n                <li>The requirements for registering with the Website are that the Customer is of full age and has full legal capacity.<\/li>\r\n                <li>The Customer asks for contracting publication and editorial services with Scholar Publishing UK the moment she\/he submits an original scientific article (\u201cArticle\u201d) for evaluation through peer-review and possible publication by Scholar Publishing UK.<\/li>\r\n                <li>The Customer agrees to support open access publishing, which allows unlimited access to his\/her published paper. In addition, the Customer agrees to the <a href=\"https:\/\/scholarpublishing.org\/sse\/article-publishing-fee\/\" class=\"sp-tc-link\">article processing charge<\/a> (APC) and is bound to pay the APC after acceptance of the paper for publication.<\/li>\r\n                <li>When purchasing services from Scholar Publishing UK, the Customer has the following cancellation right: The Customer can withdraw her\/his Article and cancel the declared intention to conclude the contract any time during the evaluation (peer-review) of the Article. Once the Article is accepted for publication, it may no longer be withdrawn by the Customer. Any benefits or interests received by the Customer up to the cancellation must be restituted to Scholar Publishing UK.<\/li>\r\n                <li>When offering services to the Customer, Scholar Publishing UK has the following cancellation right: Scholar Publishing UK may turn down or reject the Article anytime without specifying any reason and thus cancel the conclusion of the contract. After the cancellation through Scholar Publishing UK, both parties are freed from any previous commitments of these Terms and Conditions. The customer shall be fully refunded if any service fees were already paid before the cancellation of the contract.<\/li>\r\n                <li>In case a Customer pays more than invoiced by Scholar Publishing UK, any bank or transaction charges will be deduced from a partial refund of the overpaid amount.<\/li>\r\n                <li>Once an article is published, Scholar Publishing UK will refund authors in exceptional circumstances only and a decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.<\/li>\r\n            <\/ul>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n\r\n        <div class=\"sp-tc-card sp-tc-full-width\">\r\n            <div class=\"sp-tc-card-header\">\r\n                <div class=\"sp-tc-icon\"><i class=\"fas fa-copyright\"><\/i><\/div>\r\n                <h3>Manuscript and Copyright Issues<\/h3>\r\n            <\/div>\r\n            <ul class=\"sp-tc-list\">\r\n                <li>If material from other publications is reproduced in your manuscript, please provide proof that you have obtained the necessary copyright permission. Please refer to our Rights & Permissions website: <a href=\"https:\/\/scholarpublishing.org\/sse\/authors-rights\/\" class=\"sp-tc-link\">Authors\u2019 rights and responsibilities<\/a>.<\/li>\r\n                <li>Your manuscript is accepted for processing on the understanding that it has not been published elsewhere (or submitted to another journal). Exceptions to this rule are papers containing material disclosed at conferences, however please inform us if this is the case. For papers with multiple authors, please also confirm that all authors are familiar with, and agree with, the contents of the manuscript. We reserve the right to contact all authors to confirm this in case of doubt. Please provide e-mail addresses for all authors and at least one institutional email address for one of the co-authors, and specify the name, address and E-mail for invoicing purposes.<\/li>\r\n                <li>This article, if accepted, will be an open access article distributed under the terms and conditions of the Creative Commons Attribution License (<a href=\"https:\/\/creativecommons.org\/licenses\/by\/4.0\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"sp-tc-link\">http:\/\/creativecommons.org\/licenses\/by\/4.0\/<\/a>). This article is an open-access article distributed under the terms and conditions of the Creative Commons Attribution License.<\/li>\r\n            <\/ul>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n\r\n        <div class=\"sp-tc-card\">\r\n            <div class=\"sp-tc-card-header\">\r\n                <div class=\"sp-tc-icon\"><i class=\"fas fa-credit-card\"><\/i><\/div>\r\n                <h3>Prices, Terms of Payment<\/h3>\r\n            <\/div>\r\n            <ul class=\"sp-tc-list\">\r\n                <li>Prices are stated at the <a href=\"https:\/\/scholarpublishing.org\/sse\/article-publishing-fee\/\" class=\"sp-tc-link\">Article Publishing Fee<\/a> page. The applicable price for the publication service regarding an accepted Article is based on the date of the original submission of the Article to Scholar Publishing UK.<\/li>\r\n                <li>Discounts on the service price apply for authors affiliated with institutions that have signed-up to our institutional open access program (IAOP) and may be granted to reviewers. Furthermore, Scholar Publishing UK may grant discounts and waivers in exceptional cases, however, reserves the right to decline such discounts and waivers without specifying a reason.<\/li>\r\n                <li>Payments to Scholar Publishing UK are due within 5-10 days of sending the invoice to the Customer.<\/li>\r\n                <li>Invoices are sent by e-mail to the payment contact person provided by the Customer soon after acceptance of an Article for publication.<\/li>\r\n            <\/ul>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n\r\n        <div class=\"sp-tc-card\">\r\n            <div class=\"sp-tc-card-header\">\r\n                <div class=\"sp-tc-icon\"><i class=\"fas fa-balance-scale\"><\/i><\/div>\r\n                <h3>Miscellaneous<\/h3>\r\n            <\/div>\r\n            <ul class=\"sp-tc-list\">\r\n                <li>Birmingham, UK shall be the place of jurisdiction for all legal disputes arising of these Terms and Conditions, even if the Customer has her\/his domicile outside of UK.<\/li>\r\n                <li>British law applicable at the place of jurisdiction of Scholar Publishing UK shall apply exclusively.<\/li>\r\n                <li>If any provisions of the Terms and Conditions should be found invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. In any such case, the contracting parties shall negotiate on the invalid clause to substitute by a valid arrangement as close as possible to the original provision.<\/li>\r\n                <li>Scholar Publishing UK reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time by posting changes to this page of the website without prior notice. Please check these Terms and Conditions periodically for any modifications.
